CNY Model UN Conference
(Conferences/Workshops)
Since its commencement in 1983, CNYMUN has become one of the largest high school Model United Nations conferences in New York State. The two-day, Harvard-style conference provides high level, engaging debate for more than 700 students from across the Northeast. CNYMUN is run by dedicated chairs and staff who have a passion for MUN. This conference poses a challenge to experienced delegates and serves as an appropriate introduction to MUN for newer ones.
This year, we are celebrating the 30th annual CNYMUN conference here at Syracuse University.
Each year the CNYMUN group chooses a charity to donate proceeds to. This year the organization chosen is Mothers to Mothers, preventing mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDS. Guest speaker Janet Hines; an expert in HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, will be presenting at the opening ceremony to be held at Hendricks Chapel on Friday, January 11, 2013.
