Through a variety of readings and site visits, including an extended trip to Paris, this program will examine fashion as an area of transnational imitation, contestation, and sociability in the nineteenth century. This course is open to undergraduates and graduates and fulfi lls 3-6 credits of History, English, or English Textual Studies.
