Citizenship & Selfhood: Symposium on Creativity, Transformation and Public Life
(Conferences/Workshops)
This symposium seeks to explore the connections between disciplinarity, creativity and subjectivity; what do our disciplines "discipline?" Is there a relationship between what we study, the methods we use, the shape our creativity takes on and the kind of corporeal, ethical and political subjects we become?
Philip Arnold (Religion), Elizabeth Lasch-Quinn (History) and Azra Hromadzic (Anthropology) will open our discussion of scholarship, citizenship and identity, along with an art display TBA.
For PDFs of readings, contact Dan Moseson (djmoseso@syr.edu) or John Borchert (jwborche @syr.edu). Print copies will also be available in the Religion Department office, 501 Hall of Languages.
